Using Technology to Develop Navigational, Leadership and Management Skills

Simulation training creates technologically-created environments to educate senior maritime professionals in the care and mastery of the navigational bridge, electronic charting systems, dynamic positioning stations, and liquid cargo shipping systems. We collaborate with the world's biggest maritime firms to provide navigational assessment and simulated bridge and ECDIS operation using the most recent Transas technology. The simulated environments present a range of dangers, system failures, and complex human element situations that need to be handled correctly by the delegate in order to prevent catastrophic failures.

Our courses meet the STCW standards and are developed to include client-specific information such that the training is wholly relevant to the delegates and prepares them to move from the simulator training straight into real-world marine operations.

Our instructors are Senior Lecturers from a number of renowned international maritime colleges, who are experts in developing engaging courses, classroom presentations, delivering interactive workshops and providing simulation training on state-of the art Transas simulators. Experience our simulation courses either in a physical setting, where delegates participate in instructor-led training and simulation sessions, or online, tailored to individual client needs.

Our online simulation courses use exactly the same materials and deliver the lecturer-led presentations via interactive webinars, and the simulation training online with delegates being able to access the simulator software, and perform exercises, from the comfort of their own home or office.

In both cases, our training materials have been developed by Master Mariners who have also worked as lecturers for various International Maritime Academies and are recognized as meeting the STCW standards. Our learning specialists develop assessment methods that are optimised to address the learning outcomes from each program, which include online assessment, classroom assessment and competence-based assessments in the workplace.
